Why grind the stump
A stump left sticking out of the ground looks untidy and is easy to trip over.
Stumps can also attract pests, borers and disease, which can spread through the garden into nearby trees and plants. Some trees will try to grow back from the stump.
Where possible, it's best to have the stump ground out. We can do it straight after a removal, or come back for old stumps on their own.
